CEO – Carlos Ambrósio
BA degree in Business Administration – PUC/SP, Brazil. Carlos Ambrósio started his career as a trainee of Citibank in the Local Money Markets and Derivatives Desk. In October 1993 moved to Banco Matrix. In October 1995, he became Director and Partner of the Bank and member of the Executive Committee, being responsible for Domestic and International Distribution as well as Risk Management. In 2001 left Matrix and became partner and director of Claritas Investments. After the partnership with Principal Financial Group in 2012, Carlos became the company’s CEO, position that he currently holds, and a Member of the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Risk and Compliance Committee, Senior and Investment Committee and Wealth Management Committee. He is also a Member of the Board of JHSF Participações S. A. as well as Vice-President and Member of ANBIMA’s (Brazilian Financial and Capital Markets Association) Ethic Committee.
CIO – Helder Soares
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from FGV-SP and Economics from USP. He began his career as an investment equity analyst at Banco Patrimônio in 1992. In 1994, he moved to Banco Matrix, where he became a partner responsible for equity operations. In 2001, he left Matrix to be manager at Claritas Investimentos. He is currently the CIO and responsible for equity funds management, and is also Member of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Senior Investment Committee. He is also a vice president and founding member of AMEC, an association focused on the defense of minority shareholders´ rights in Brazil.
CCO – Ernesto Leme
Bachelor in engineering from Unicamp, graduate studies in Business Administration from FGV-SP and MBA from Harvard Business School. Started his career as a trainee at Citibank in 1990. In 1995, he moved to Banco Matrix, becoming a partner in 1996. At Matrix, he was responsible for managing fixed income funds and derivatives. In 1998, he moved to New York where he served as Head Trader, Brazil’s desk at DLJ (Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette). Later on, he moved to Goldman Sachs where he acted as Executive Director at London, Zurich and Geneva offices. He returned to Brazil in 2005 to serve as Executive Director and Desk Head of the Key Clients Team at Banco UBS Pactual. Moved to Claritas in 2008 as CEO of Claritas Wealth Management. In October 2014 he became CCO Chief Commercial Officer. Currently, he is a member of Management Committee, Executive Committee, Comercial and Products Committee and Wealth Management Committee. He is president of ANIBIMA’s Commission of Investment Funds Monitoring and president of Regulation and Best Practices Board for Asset Management Activities.
COO – Cassiano Morelli
Cassiano has BA degree in Public Administration at FGV-SP. Started his career in the credit department of Banco ABC Brasil. – Arab Banking Corporation – in 2005. He was focused in the analysis of the Large Corporation segment. In 2006 moved to Rio Bravo Securitizadora (current RB Capital), where he was in charge of the credit analysis. In 2008 joined Claritas, where currently he is the CCO.
Manager of Structured Products – Mario Issa
Bachelor Degree in Production Engineering from University of São Paulo (USP), MBA in Finance from the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (IBMEC), and MBA in Actuarial Sciences from FIPECAFI. Twenty (20) years’ experience in the financial market, having worked in financial institutions such as Banco Itaú, Banco Crefisul, Banco Fator, Matrix, Bank Boston, JP Morgan and GP Investments. In 2007 he started at Claritas, becoming a partner in 2008. He is responsible for distributors for institutional investors and structurating products.
Manager of Equities funds – Eduardo Morais
Bachelor in economics from UFRJ-RJ. CFA. He began his career in 1998 as an equities analyst and portfolio manager at Banco Matrix. In 2002 he joined Claritas as a member of the equities funds management team. He became a partner at Claritas in January 2005.He is head of equities fund management, being also a Member of the Senior Investment Committee.
Manager of Macro funds – Damont Carvalho
BA degree in Business Administration – Mackenzie/SP, Brazil and MBA in Finances. Started his career at Chase Manhattan Asset Management/JP Morgan Asset Management working in several positions related to fixed income and hedge fund from 1996 to 2003. In 2004 worked as VP responsible for Hedge Funds at ABN AMRO Asset Management. In 2005 worked at Fator Administração de Recursos (FAR) in several positions related to fixed income and derivatives and before leaving the company was head of the asset. In 2012 joined Claritas in the portfolio manegement of Macro strategies. As well as he is also Member of the Senior Investment Committee.
Equity Analyst – Paulo Frade
BA degree in Business Administration – FGV 2002. Started his career in April 2002 at Claritas as a junior equity trader. Since then, has been allocated to the equity research team.
